It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted. I wanted to share that I’ve successfully completed Term 2! Super stoked to have completed a bit ahead of schedule (I finished Term 2 in mid-December), and to move on to Term 3 starting in a couple days here. It looks like I’ll be wrapping this all up around March, and start looking towards grad school as my next big goal.
I didn’t quite enjoy Term 2 as much as Term 1. I think this was due to the lack of deep learning utilized in the term, which is one of my favorite applications of AI so far. Post SDCND, I’ll most likely spend some time producing my own projects to build up a portfolio and get familiar with some of the more recent models (GANs, etc.). I would love if Udacity would create more deep learning content specifically for the SDCND, but maybe you have to enroll in the Deep Learning Nanodegree for that.
Either way, I’m excited to be two-thirds of the way through the course. Having started in July, it’s amazing to have the end in sight already. When I started, nine months seemed like quite a long time – especially with the rigorous work load that Udacity expects. But now, the end is in sight and it’s somewhat bittersweet. It’s been an awesome ride so far and I can’t wait to get started with Term 3.
